Master planned communities offer a lot of amenities for homeowners. We found four here in the McKinney TX area that we want to share with you, in case you’re looking for a home and would rather build than buy a pre-existing one. All of these communities offer excellent home builders and fun, family-friendly amenities.
1. Trinity Falls:
This is a master-planned community located in McKinney. It’s just north of Hwy 380 off of 75. They have an event coordinator who organizes all kinds of activities for residents. They are planning to have lakes, a disc golf course, and all kinds of activities for families to get into. They are going to have schools right in the community! You can see all the things they have to offer at trinityfalls.com.
2. Windsong Ranch:
This community is in the Prosper, TX area. It’s very similar to Trinity Falls, in that they have events to help the homeowners get to know each other and do life together. There’s a cafe and even a gym! And of course, there’s a pool and other amenities. This community has everything you need right there in the community. (That’s why a lot of people are moving to these communities—you almost don’t need to leave them, because everything you need is right there!) You can check them out at windsongranchliving.com.
3. Light Farms:
Light Farms is in Celina, TX. Again, it’s very similar to the other two we’ve mentioned. Like the others, they’ve got fun family-friendly events, excellent home builders, and a community pool. They also have 18 miles of hiking and biking trails! Again, they have schools within the grounds (Prosper ISD). You can find them at lightfarmstx.com.
4. Tucker Hill:
Tucker Hill is another great master-planned community in McKinney. Tucker Hill offers a resort-style pool and club, as well as plenty of green spaces and activities designed to foster great neighborhood relationships. Tucker Hill will also be home to a planned 40,000 square foot, three-story commercial development where residents will be able to shop and dine. You can see all they have to offer at tuckerhilltx.com
As you can see there are so many opportunities for families who are moving to the Texas area to go ahead and build a home in lieu of trying to find something preexisting.
Don’t forget the window treatments!
We do encourage you to remember your window treatments when you’re working with a building a new home! Sometimes window treatments are not included when building your home. You don’t want to close on your new home and be all excited to move in, and then realize that you don’t have any blinds or curtains! If you find yourself in that boat, please give us a call! We’d love to come out and give you a free estimate. And when you’re building, remember that you can call us a couple of months in advance of when you expect to close, and we can come in and coordinate with the builder to get measurements and get you set up so that you have your window treatments when you move in!
So if you are looking to move into one of these new communities, that’s great! We hear wonderful things about them. But do not forget your window treatments!
